Nationalism Is a Form of Idolatry

“You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with Christ? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of the Son of Man.”
---James 4:2-4

Former U.S. Marine and best-selling author G. Michael Hopf coined a saying: “Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.”  If you take a step back and view the news with an unjaundiced eye, you’ll realize that we are governed by weak men.

Following the Napoleonic Wars, a growing secular movement took root throughout industrialized society. With each passing generation, this movement has only grown stronger and more pronounced. Countless men and women have turned their back on Christ to follow hedonistic pursuits. In turn, nihilists have capitalized to advance their own Satanic agendas.

For the third time since the turn of the 19th Century, international banking interests have begun to initiate warfare on a grand scale. The ethnic nationalism that preceded the First World War, and the cultural Marxism that preceded the Second World War are manifesting in combination around the world.

Nationalism is a form of idolatry, and it is a practiced form. Global elites foster and encourage nationalism to strengthen their control and foster fear. This was true before the First and Second World Wars, it was true during the Cold War, and it is true once again throughout the industrialized world.

As technology has advanced, so too has the art of war. Through database technology and advanced algorithms, the distribution of propaganda has become a sophisticated science. 24-hour news stations drip repetitive propaganda into the homes of millions worldwide, and audience viewing patterns are analyzed to refine the narratives.

In turn, television storylines and press pieces are tweaked to manipulate public opinion. Worldwide, there are four distinct narratives filtered through four competing power centers, with each power center subliminally preparing their audiences for an ideological conflict now two-hundred years in the making.

Social media and popular forms of entertainment do much the same. Popular thinking and social behaviors are directionally influenced by the powers that control the purse strings within each established nation-state. Few people realize that only a handful of families control the media establishment, and even fewer are aware that they control most of the major international banks.

Christ warned that the end times would be filled with lies and deception. He also cautioned His followers: “See that no one leads you astray.” (Matthew 24:4) Nationalistic pushes are an attempt to do just that: to lead faithful followers of Christ into forms of idolatry and away from Christ’s teachings.

Wars and rumors of wars on a grand scale have already begun. Global leaders have begun to bang the war drums and push for bravado. President Joe Biden’s speech at a NATO summit in Lithuania last week is but one example. Leaders around the world are beginning to reveal their cards. A third global conflict on a massive scale is all but inevitable. The four major global powers and the banking interests that back them up are determined on it.

This push for global calamity hasn’t gone unnoticed. On Thanksgiving Day of 2018, Christ raised the alarm. He sounded the Clarion Call, giving an audible signal to His faithful and His true that demons are advancing and that the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse were preparing to take wing. In a very real sense, Gabriel blew his horn.

Deep-space sonar stations around the world received this signal weeks later. The signal defied physics and baffled the world’s top scientists and astronomers. Reports of the signal were largely, and deliberately, ignored by the media and by political leaders. Idolators that long ago abandoned Christ’s commands buried the story so as not to alarm the public and pressed forward with their unholy agendas as if nothing happened. (Ezekiel 28:2-5)

Christ warned that the days ahead will offer an “Abomination of Desolation”. (Matthew 24:15). He warned that men and women that have succumbed to demons will attempt to deceive His faithful about His arrival: “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or ‘He is over here,’ do not believe him.” (Matthew 24:23) He also warned that His faithful and His true will suffer through tribulations unlike any before.

As prophesied, The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse will deceive all nations in the days to come. For sons and second sons of Israel, men and women of faith redeemed by Christ, it is imperative that we distance ourselves from the drums of war and remain true to Christ’s teachings.
“Go to this people and say,
‘You will keep on hearing, and will not understand;
And you will keep on seeing, and will not perceive;
For the hearts of this people have become insensitive,
And with their ears they hardly hear,
And they have closed their eyes;
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
And hear with their ears,
And understand with their heart and return,
And I would heal them.’”
---ACTS 28:26-27

Sex and Sexual Immorality

“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit Christ’s kingdom? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the Christ’s kingdom. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.”
---1 Corinthians 6:9-11

We live in a hyper-sexualized world and modern media fuels the fire. Within the advertising and publishing industries, there is an adage that says: “sex sells”, and to a extent this is true. Lurid advertising fuels carnal desires and subliminally influences behavior. The same is true with graphic imagery presented within film and entertainment. Theatrical features, pulp fiction, television, and cinema often bombard the senses with shocking imagery of sex, violence, misogyny, and child exploitation simply to sell tickets and attract audiences. As a culture, we are so dulled to the sin presented through popular entertainment that we rarely stop to consider the down-stream consequences.

Popular forms of music are especially egregious. Major recording studios actively promote nihilistic tunes that feed youth angst. Few people stop to consider the narcotic effects of music, and record executives take advantage of the public’s naiveite. Lyrics that promote sex, violence, greed, theft, and infidelity openly play on the airwaves. So too, do songs that encourage drug use and suicide.

Much of this is by design. Many of the men and women that control the purse strings with the advertising and entertainment industries are nihilists. They long ago abandoned Christ’s teachings and are under the influence of demons. With few exceptions, they are purveyors of sin. They peddle temptation for profit and ignore Christ’s Commandments at their peril.

Artists under contract with these companies are especially vulnerable. Many compromise their moral and ethical principles to secure work. The “Me Too” movement highlighted the lurid underbelly within the entertainment industry, and this isn’t a new occurrence.

Vaudeville performers faced the same exploitation. So too did Shakespearean theatre companies during the sixteenth, seventeenth, and eighteenth centuries and Western entertainers during the American Westward Expansion.

The level of corruption extends beyond Hollywood casting couches and Nashville music studios. Established artists are frequently coerced to consider offers that jeopardize their artistic standing. For actors and actresses this includes film roles that dilute their performance catalog or compromise their safety. For recording artists this sometimes means making appearances that compromise their integrity or overextend their endurance. To the executives that cut their paychecks, they artistic talent is little more than chattel.

It would be easy to simply point the blame at major entertainment companies and their executives. The truth is the root of this corruption extends much deeper. With rare exception, music, films, and theatre performances are financed, and the financing is hierarchical. A handful of international banking interests control the scales, and they leverage the advertising industry and popular forms of entertainment to further their own nihilistic agendas.

As with advertising and entertainment, sex is the predominate driving lever used to further the agendas of global banking interests. This has been true since King David’s death and the rise of the Roman Empire. Prostitution is believed to be the oldest profession, but this is a lie. Slave trading happens to be the world’s oldest profession and prostitution runs second.

Few people stop to consider the full scope of sexuality. Beyond procreation, sex involves the intertwining of souls and every physical contact that alludes to sex has spiritual connotations. This includes, hand holding, kissing, touching, and of course intercourse.

As the Apostle Paul noted, “Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough.” (1 Corinthians 6:6) In this sense, he was speaking in an allegory. When two souls engage in sexual activity, they intertwine with one another. Outside the Holy Spirit souls that engage in sexual activity pollute one another.

Within Christ, we are all unleavened just as long as we do not engage in sexual immorality. (1 Corinthians 6:7) Sexual immorality includes sodomy and any physical contact with another living being outside our betrothed. This includes masturbation with the use of aides or imagery such as pornographic materials.

Sexual immorality has downstream effects. When men or women engage in sexual activity with multiple partners, transference occurs. This means that the person that engages in sexual activity with a secondary partner not only pollutes themselves, but also pollutes their primary partner with their secondary partner. To a degree, this transference occurs with every downstream partner.

Global banking interests have deliberately infused sexuality into popular entertainment since the Napoleonic Wars. Traveling road shows frequented soldiers’ encampments during the military campaigns and lured naïve and willing soldiers into sexual dalliances with prostitutes through promiscuous folk tales and skits.

These road shows also traveled into towns and villages throughout the European countryside during that period, offering much the same. Naive and willing men were coerced into handing over their wage and their livestock in exchange for sexual dalliances. This formula continued into major metropolitan areas throughout Western Europe following the campaigns with Paris’ Moulin Rouge and Brussels’ Red Light District being the most notable examples.

The strategic purpose of these urban entertainment and prostitution centers was to fragment families, and also to enslave the proletariat through sin. Since that time, the activities behind these enslavement efforts have grown increasingly sophisticated, with gambling and pornography being the greatest entrapment these days. That said, for the international banking establishment that front them, their objectives remain the same: to destroy families and enslave poor and working-class men and women through sin.

Christ forewarned His faithful and His true of the consequences of sexual immorality. (Romans 1:24-25). The efforts by the international banking establishment to enslave men and women through sexual immorality have been largely successful and the levels of corruption have accelerated in recent years. As news reports over the past five decades reveal, society is in a state of decay.

Beyond homosexuality and same-sex marriage, transgenderism and pedophilia are now being glorified and openly encouraged. With few exceptions, political leaders worldwide have allowed the degradation to metastasize unchecked.

Within the United Kingdom in fact, the British Crown has openly encouraged the Church of England to champion gay marriage and transgenderism. Similarly, within the United States those who engage in sexually deviant behavior are being advocated for special privileges by both the United States Congress and within state legislatures.

It is not an exaggeration to say that global culture today rivals Sodom and Gomorrah. (Genesis 19)  On Thanksgiving Day of 2018, Christ raised the alarm.

For sons and second sons of Israel, men and women of faith redeemed by Christ, it is imperative that refrain from malice and wickedness and remain chaste. Asking Christ to cleanse us of our sexual sins and lustful desires is a good starting point, and turning to Him if these desires return is of paramount importance.
“I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is a sexually immoral person, or a greedy person, or an idolater, or is verbally abusive, or habitually drunk, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a person. For what business of mine is it to judge outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? But those who are outside, Christ judges. Remove the evil person from amongst yourselves.”
---1 Corinthians 5:11-13

True Fulfillment

“But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
---Luke 21:34-36
Youth is impetuous. Consequently, many young men and women have little or no conception of their own mortality. This is especially true for men and women that have never experienced warfare or had their livelihoods threatened. This is equally true for men and women that have fallen victim to the narcissistic trappings of modern culture.

In his 1943 paper “A Theory of Human Motivation”, psychologist Abraham Maslow proposed that every human being has a basic hierarchy of needs. At the basest level physiological needs like food, water, and shelter are imperatives. Beyond these basics, feelings of belonging and love are necessities. When those needs are fulfilled, social constructs like esteem, self-actualization, and transcendence begin to take priority.

Without a doubt, we live in a self-actualized society. With few exceptions, the basic physiological needs of nearly everyone within industrialized nations are taken care of. So too, are feelings of belonging and love. Except for sociopaths and malcontents, most people have a firm sense of place in their day-to-day lives.

In many ways, life today is far better materially than at any time since the fall of man. Worldwide, the average life span for men and women is longer than at any time since the flood of the Earth, and infant mortality rates are at an all-time low. Similarly, the worldwide Family Affluence Scale is higher today than ever before. This means that far more people are afforded luxuries today than at any other point in recorded human history.

For men and women outside Christ, self-actualization oftentimes presents a debilitating conundrum. Agnostics and secularists frequently struggle with feelings of meaning and satisfaction. Aimless individuals also struggle to find their callings, and this presents a litany of problems.

Over the past two centuries, whole industries have taken root that exploit naïve and directionless individuals. Today, the self-help sections of bookstores are inundated with secular and occultic works written by self-anointed gurus. These so-called experts typically promise fame, fortune, and happiness in a formulaic fashion. A litany of self-fulfillment seminars and workshops that promise to reveal the secrets to life also abound.

Oftentimes, the solutions offered by self-help experts do little more than drain the wallets of their intended audiences. Worse still, some of the major organizations within the industry are cults. Traveling road shows and spiritual enrichments centers indoctrinate aimless men and women into enrolling in pyramid schemes that promise fortune and self-fulfillment. The Church of Scientology and The Landmark Forum are both notable examples of such organizations.

For directionless souls, self-actualization can also be dangerous. Demons pray upon these individuals and oftentimes convince those searching for direction to engage in nihilistic pursuits. Once lured in, it is nearly impossible for them to escape.

Society mistakenly preaches that money, wealth, political power, material influence, and celebrity are the ultimate measures of success. Men and women that buy in to this consumptive rat race oftentimes forgo their moral turpitudes to best their rivals. Within this cult of consumption, there is no such thing as sufficiency and consideration of others often falls to the wayside.

Tastes of power and material success oftentimes result in cravings for more. The same holds true with fame and notoriety. In our narcissistic culture, self-aggrandizement has become big industry. Admiration and adulation are narcotics, and social media plays to their effects. For some, self-esteem is measured in likes, mentions, and re-tweets.

Our culture also glorifies the trappings of celebrity. Ask any Christ-centered actor or musician their feelings on the subject, and they’ll tell you that the lifestyle it isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. That said, for many celebrities seeing their name featured in the media and in tabloids is more substantial than the merit of their works. Sadly, the same holds true for many politicians and elected officials. The adrenaline rushes they receive when they are showered with unnecessary attention affects their thinking and their judgement.

It may surprise you to learn that some of the wealthiest, most powerful, and most influential people on earth go to great lengths to remain anonymous outside their inner circles. They include gangsters, drug dealers, and international financiers, and the like. In their stead, these economic power players foster cults of personality around celebrities and athletes. They intentionally ply these performers with temptations, and oftentimes rope them into doing their bidding when they acquiesce.

The media and the press promote these athletes and celebrities as the epitomes of success, and this is by design. Their perceived lifestyles foster a culture of envy and want. This furthers the strategic interests of the gangsters, drug dealers, and financers that fund their lifestyles and ultimately creates a perpetual cycle of envy, want, and consumption.

Christ warns that “the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.” (Mark 4:19) He added: “Those that were sown on the good soil are the ones who hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.”

Pursuits of transcendence strictly to obtain wealth, status, fame, or fortune stand in stark contrast to Christ’s warning. The same holds true for chasing carnal desires. Both pursuits deviate from the path to happy destiny. Both pursuits lead to the gates to hell.

To that end, a vocalist by the name of Kari Jobe recorded a song titled The Cause of Christ a couple of years back. The song opens with the lyrics:

The only thing I want in life
Is to be known for loving Christ
To build His Church, to love His bride
And to make His name known far and wide

This stanza epitomizes true self-fulfillment and articulates the very definition of success.

“Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions. Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to the Son of Man as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to Christ as instruments for righteousness.”
---Romans 6:12-13

A Moment of Truth

“Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin.”
---Romans 4:4-7
On Thanksgiving Day of 2018, Christ sounded the Clarion Call, giving an audible signal to His faithful and His true that demons are advancing and that the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse were preparing to take wing. In a very real sense, Gabriel blew his horn.

Deep-space sonar stations around the world received this signal weeks later. The signal defied physics and baffled the world’s top scientists and astronomers. Reports of the signal were largely, and deliberately, ignored by the media and by political leaders. Predators that long ago abandoned Christ’s commands buried the story so as not to alarm the public and carried on with their personal agendas. (Ezekiel 28:2-5)

Christ warned that the days ahead will offer an “Abomination of Desolation”. (Matthew 24:15). He warned that men and women that have succumbed to demons will attempt to deceive His faithful about His arrival: “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or ‘He is over here,’ do not believe him.” (Matthew 24:23) He also warned that His faithful and His true would suffer through tribulations unlike any before.

If you are reading this and have not yet turned your care and will over to Christ, I suggest you drop to your knees and ask His forgiveness for your sins. We are nearing the last days and He alone offers eternal life. The book of life is closing as the Clarion Call attests. This very moment is your opportunity to enter the manifest and avoid eternal damnation.

If you happen to be wavering, stop to consider that Christ knows your every thought and every intention. If you feel fear and trepidation in reading this, then it is not too late. Repent, ask Christ for forgiveness, and surrender your sin to Him. A new life awaits.

If you are reading this with disdain, you should know that this opportunity will not come around again. You are revealing yourself to Christ with your thoughts even as you read this. Therefore, I suggest you take time to quiet the voices in your head and ask yourself what lies beneath your feelings of scorn? If an answer doesn’t come to you, it’s likely that you fear letting go of your sin.

Many people bank on the belief that they will ultimately be judged on their intentions. This is a lie. We are all judged upon our actions. As scripture reveals, “We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.” (2 Corinthians 5:10) If you are willing to forgo this opportunity for redemption, know that you are being judged by Christ this very moment.

It's no secret that the pathway to eternal life is narrow. Even those who openly profess their faith will be held to the fire for their actions. Christ warns that those among us with self-righteous indignation will be judged and dealt with accordingly. He reveals that upon the day of judgement: “many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’” (Matthew 7:22-23)

If you happen to be on the fence and fear what others will think of you if you were to abandon your sin and embrace Christ, I suggest you take an inventory of the people that come directly to mind and walk away from them completely. These people happen to have a foothold upon you and will drag them down with them. Again, the Clarion Call rang out and we are nearing the last days. You are facing a decision for all eternity.

If you are tempted to respond to this article with hatred and malice, you have been blinded by fear. If that is the case, then I pray for the wellbeing of those around you. Your thoughts and feelings are poisoned by your own sin, and there is nothing anyone can do for you.

For the men and woman who read this and are willing to surrender their sin to Christ and begin a new life, I can tell you that the journey that lies ahead of you is well worth it. As one whose life was nearly engulfed through my own sin, I can assure you that a life beyond your wildest imaginations awaits you on the other side. Within Christ you are never alone and that there is no need to fear what lies ahead.
“And he said to his disciples, ‘Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin.’”
---Luke 17:1-2

The Trappings of High Society

7/7/2023

Picture
“When you sit down to dine with a ruler,
Consider carefully what is before you,
And put a knife to your throat
If you are a person of great appetite.
Do not desire his delicacies,
For it is deceptive food.

Do not weary yourself to gain wealth;
Stop dwelling on it.
When you set your eyes on it, it is gone.
For wealth certainly makes itself wings
Like an eagle that flies toward the heavens.

Do not eat the bread of a selfish person;
Or desire his delicacies;

For as he thinks within himself, so he is.
He says to you, “Eat and drink!”
But his heart is not with you.

You will vomit up the morsel you have eaten
And waste your compliments.

Do not speak to be heard by a fool,
For he will despise the wisdom of your words.”

---Proverbs 23:1-9

Men and women bestowed with fame, fortune, and notoriety frequently claim that these trappings are blessings. In fact, they are often quite the opposite. For men and women that have rejected Christ, esoteric concepts of success become their defining characteristics. They measure their worth based on their status and power, and largely ignore opportunities their privileges afford to be of service to others.

Modern society promotes cults of personality. Greed and avarice are often promoted as virtues, and material wealth is espoused as a pillar of success. Even charitable acts have been corrupted to a large degree. Few make their donations quietly and anonymously as Christ suggested. (Matthew 19:21) Instead, they attach their names to projects to further their empires or register their donations with the government for tax benefits. (1 Timothy 4:1-2)

Christ Himself warned of the trappings of wealth and power. Though He graciously answered the Pharisees questions from time to time, He never lobbied them for influence or status. Instead, He sought out tax collectors and sinners to follow Him. He dined with beggars, thieves, and prostitutes and took the time to teach those he gathered with that they were of value.

Christ taught that even those who had turned to desperation could walk with Him if they embraced the Holy Spirit and walked away from their sins. He repeatedly revealed to them that His way offered far greater rewards that the lives they were living, and that the only pathway to eternal life was through fellowship and strict adherence to His commands. (Matthew 5:3-12)

The world is a much darker place than most people realize. Very few wealthy and powerful individuals build and maintain their fortunes in strict adherence to Christ’s commands. The trappings of money, wealth, fortune, fame, and influence are aphrodisiacs, and powerful individuals often tempt their rivals with sin. This is especially true in social settings.

For the wealthiest and most powerful among us, hosted social gatherings are a unique form of status. Invitations to private galas are coveted by blue-blooded elites, and the paparazzi frequently covers these gatherings with fervor. The same holds true for golf outings, excursion trips, and the like.

Proverbs 23 warns us of the dangers of these events. Entering the homes or establishments of wealthy and powerful people upon invitation oftentimes disguises nefarious intentions. The wealthy and powerful often use these gatherings to lure persons of lesser status into their influence.

The hosts of these events and their sycophants oftentimes script conversation topics at these events. Candidates with something to offer are then sized up for their willingness to compromise ethical principles. It is important to look past the illusions of opulence and affluence and judge the character of the hosts and their esteemed guests.

If you have occasion, share your testimony with them. If they turn away or look to you as a curio you will have gaged their intent. A viper doesn’t change even if he’s wearing a fine tuxedo or she’s wearing an elegant ballgown. It is better to be denied future outings with these people than to one day be swallowed up in their venom.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.”
---1 Corinthians 13:4-8
